Hyperscalers are the small group of cloud and AI operators whose individual data center campuses exceed 100 MW. The Louisiana boom is being driven primarily by Meta (Hyperion) and Amazon (Caddo + Bossier), with Hut 8 and Applied Digital operating as colocation/anchor operators selling capacity to hyperscaler AI customers.
